- Put your jewelry on last, after perfume, lotion, hairspray, and make-up.
- Wipe each piece gently with a soft, dry cloth after wearing, to remove oils and moisture.
- Take pieces off before showering, swimming, exercising, or sleeping.
Storing your pieces
- Keep each piece in the pouch or box it arrived in, away from other jewelry so nothing scratches.
- Store somewhere cool and dry. Humidity and direct heat are the enemies of gold plating.
- For pieces you will not wear for a while, a small sealed bag helps keep the air out.
What to avoid
- Water, chlorine, and salt water.
- Perfume, hand sanitiser, and household cleaning products.
- Rubbing with rough cloths or tissues, which can dull the finish.
